Delta Expands Hawaii Service with New Nonstop Flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul and Boston

Delta Air Lines is doubling its Hawaii connections this winter by launching new nonstop service between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and Maui, while also bringing back flights from Boston to Honolulu. These routes are part of Delta’s most robust seasonal Hawaii schedule to date, giving travelers more convenient options for winter and spring getaways.

New MSP to Maui Nonstop Flights

Starting December 19, 2026, Delta will operate a new seasonal nonstop route between MSP and Kahului Airport (OGG) on Maui. This route will fly five times weekly during the winter season and daily during peak holiday and spring break periods, using the Airbus A330-300.

  • Maui is MSP’s largest unserved nonstop destination, with about 170 passengers traveling daily via connecting flights in January–March.
  • Delta already operates daily nonstop flights between MSP and Honolulu (HNL), making Maui the second Hawaiian destination from the Twin Cities.
  • This expansion addresses strong demand from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest for direct service to Maui.

Amy Martin, Delta VP of Network Planning, noted, “This new route strengthens connectivity to Hawaii from Delta’s hub at MSP and gives our customers even more opportunities to reach the islands, alongside the premium travel experience they expect on these long-haul flights.”

Returning Boston to Honolulu Service

Alongside the new MSP-Maui flights, Delta is bringing back nonstop service from Boston (BOS) to Honolulu (HNL) on December 19, 2026.

  • Daily flights operate during peak late-December travel, shifting to four weekly frequencies through the winter season.
  • This reconnects New England travelers with Oahu’s iconic beaches, cultural landmarks, and city-meets-beach experience.
  • Flights also operate on the Airbus A330-300, offering Delta’s full cabin experience.

Enhanced Hawaii Schedule Across the U.S.

Delta is also expanding its existing Hawaii routes with more frequencies, earlier seasonal service, and aircraft upgrades:
